The weakest Insei in Japan is around 2d. The strongest is between 8-9 amateur Dan.

Some Pros consider a modern amateur Japanese 6d not even close to pro level.

Hmm...inseis can usually play pros at say...at most 4-5 stones. So actually I'd say 3d-pro level. I say pro level since some inseis are actually pretty darn strong...just look at some of the recent tournaments(I think it was BB card cup, or maybe Samsung cup) where the top inseis are beating out some of the top pros even, like the korean insei who beat Lee Changho. Although, I'd suspect that korean inseis are lots stronger than japanese inseis...but still, I think my point is clear.

I went 4-4 in the self-paired tournament at the Congress this year, and I came away with The Optimist trophy. XD
